Situation Saturday
a 3-Card Spread
For this spread I pulled three cards. Their positions are:
- Situation
- Action
- Outcome
Before looking at the reveal, focus on this first image. Get grounded, take some deep breaths, and then determine a situation in your life in which you would like some insight.
When you’re ready, look at the second image.
Disclaimer: I offer these readings for entertainment and spiritual purposes.
The reveal cards, with their titles and messages are:
- (situation) Behold: See beyond what is visible
- (action) Expedition: Journey into the realm of obstacles to discover your treasures
- (outcome) Surprise: Let the Universe take care of the hows
Interpretation:
With the situation you’ve chosen, see what “is” —without judgment— it just is. Then visualize/imagine how you would want this situation to be transformed. Allow yourself to be fully present with this transformational Vision. You could set the intention that this Vision be made manifest.
Now, in observer mode (ie: without judgment), make note of the obstacles to realizing your Vision. In what way could these obstacles be seen as treasures. You could even ask your Guides and Angels to help you see these obstacles differently.
Now allow yourself to be surprised with how the Universe takes care of the “how” of your Vision, By doing that, you release yourself from limiting your options. In our current situation we may only see one, maybe two options; but when we “turn it over”, the Powers That Be will have a broader perspective and can create the outcome that would serve us best.
My Situation:
I did the card spread this morning before I determined my “situation”. At that time I didn’t know which situation to use. Then a neighbor came over looking for her cat. She asked if we could look around our yard and garage to make sure the cat wasn’t trapped somewhere.
It embarrassed me to have her see what bad shape our yard had become. Then it came to me…this is my “situation” for today.
Situation: in 2021 we paid a big chunk of money to have our backyard completely redone…it took about two weeks. It was beautiful. Over the last year or two, we failed to regularly maintain it and now sections of it are overgrown and out-of-control. My Vision for it would be to have it looking beautiful again and improved in some areas. Mostly I would like for it to be a lot easier to maintain.
Action: Trying to see the obstacles as treasures is an interesting approach. Here are some of them:
- my husband and I don’t have the energy we used to have to regularly keep up with the yard
- we probably need to hire someone or a company to come in to do the major work that needs to be done
- we don’t know who to hire—which means we’d have to spend some time doing research
- it’s probably going to costly to have it done
- this time of year, most landscape/lawncare companies are already booked up weeks maybe months in advance
so what would be the treasures?
- embracing that we are older—rather than harshly judge ourselves over it, surrender to it.
- acceptance of our limitations and embracing the idea of asking for help
- my husband and I can make this be a project we can work on together. Of late we mostly work on separate projects.
- we are blessed to be in a position to have some savings that we could use for this project. also rather than seeing it as an expense, it would actually be an investment in our home and our well-being. we would thus be able to enjoy our yard rather than dread it
- who knows, maybe once we commit to this project, a particular company will have just had an unexpected opening and could start in two weeks. it could happen. the Universe is magical that way. Otherwise, the delay could be used to get clearer on our Vision. We’ll do some of the leg work and then turn it over.
How did today’s spread translate for you?
I hope you found it helpful.
Many Blessings,
