The Archangel 2 Mandala painting represents the Archangel who oversees the polarity or duality of our existence on Earth…light/dark, black/white, feminine/masculine, up/down, left/right, and so on. Essentially, there’s no getting around it. Our challenge becomes finding balance between the polarities such that they both add value to our earthly experience. If this had been painted all white or all black…we wouldn’t be able to see this mandala at all.
I painted this on a 48”x48” wood panel with acrylic paint (carbon black, paynes grey, and titanium white)…and black & white paint pens. It took me about 16 months to complete.
